Terms and Conditions

1. Membership Application
- Applications for membership are accepted year-round.
- You must complete a membership application form and provide all necessary information.
- A parent or guardian must complete the application for minors.
2. Registration to a Program
- We offer various judo programs for different age groups and skill levels.
- You can register for a program online, by phone, or in person at the club.
- Payment for the program fee is due at the time of registration.
3. Trial session
- A trial session is always recommended to assess skill level and ensure proper class placement.
- The club reserves the right to recommend a different program based on the placement test results.
4. Admission to Sessions
- Members must wear the proper judogi (uniform) and follow safety guidelines during sessions.
- Punctuality is expected.
- You are responsible for informing the instructor of any injuries or limitations before participating.
5. Course Cancellation and Viability
- Yukizuna Judo Club reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances.
- In case of cancellation, registered members will be notified and offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another program or class.
- Minimum enrollment requirements may apply to specific programs.
6. Withdrawal / Deferment
- You may withdraw from a program with written notification to the club administration.
- Refund policies will vary depending on the program and withdrawal timeframe. Please refer to the specific program registration details for information.
- Deferment of a program may be possible under certain circumstances. Please contact the club administration for details.
6.1 Cancellation Deadline
- A full refund will be issued for cancellations received 4 business days before the course start date. A processing fee of
10 EUR
will be applied to all refunded amounts. - Cancellations received within 15 business days of the course start date will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations received after the course start date are not eligible for a refund.
6.2 Multiple Month Enrollments
If you have registered for multiple months and need to cancel before the end of your enrollment period, a prorated refund will be issued. The cost of the classes you have already attended will be applied in place of the total booked fee before calculating the refund amount.
6.3 Notification of Cancellation
All course cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Yukizuna Judo Club administration by email at cx@yukizunajudoclub.org
or by letter to 228 Samurai, Triq Il-Kbira, Il-mellieħa, MLH 2317, Malta .
7. Change of Class / Missed Class / Makeup Class
- Requests for class changes must be made with advance notice to the club administration.
- Missed classes due to absence will not be refunded.
- Makeup classes may be offered at the instructor's discretion and availability.
8. Yukizuna Judo Club Management
- The club reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
- Yukizuna Judo Club maintains the right to refuse service or membership to anyone at its sole discretion.
- Members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner towards instructors, staff, and fellow members.
9. Remarks
- Yukizuna Judo Club is committed to providing a safe and positive learning environment for all members.
- Unruly or disruptive behavior may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.
10. Medical Attention
- You are responsible for seeking medical attention for any injuries sustained during judo practice.
- We recommend consulting a doctor before participating if you have any health concerns.
11. Privacy Statement
- Yukizuna Judo Club respects your privacy. We collect and use your personal information only for the purposes of administering your membership and program participation.
- We will not share your information with any third party without your consent, except as required by law.
12. Disclaimer
- Yukizuna Judo Club assumes no responsibility for personal belongings lost or stolen on club premises.
- You participate in judo at your own risk. We encourage proper technique and safety precautions to minimize the risk of injury.
- By becoming a member of Yukizuna Judo Club, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
